Analog girl in a digital world - pics from Erykah Badu & The Roots in Montreal, May 6 2008

Last Tuesday’s Erykah Badu show with The Roots at Quai Jacques-Cartier in the Old Port was easily the best show I’ve seen this year so far. After The Roots played long with the setting sun, compensating for a late arrival from Erykah and the New Amerykah band, the antsy crowd was treated to another hour and a half of waiting before Badu finally took the stage. She did a pretty good job of making everyone forget how annoyed they were with waiting, delivering a cross-section of new and old songs for the people. Big thanks to Charb for the first rate pics.
