Invincible – The best Detroit MC you never heard…

In posse on 2008/06/02 at 3:35 pm

“One of the most talented emcees I’ve ever heard black or white, male or female…” -Talib Kweli

2 days ago, me and Simahlak were sitting in my kitchen arguing about whether Detroit MC Invincible was miles ahead of the game or not. I had to play him “Eye of the Beholder” off of Finale & Spier 1200’s Develop LP so he could witness the fitness. Invincible is hardly new to this, but she’s not quite a household name like some of her Detroit peoples. This morning SweenyKovar had a post about Invincible being in Long Beach for the Detroit Takeover showcase, where she also shot a video for “Sledgehammer”, the first single off of her debut album Shapeshifters, available now.
